Our story
A family-run stay in the hill country.
Mount Edge Hotel is a family-run hotel in Blackpool, Nuwara Eliya — a hill town often called “Little England” for its cool climate and colonial heritage. We opened with a simple aim: clean, comfortable, affordable rooms for travellers who want to enjoy the tea country and its mountain air.

The destination
About Nuwara Eliya
At roughly 1,870 metres above sea level, Nuwara Eliya is the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country, with a cool climate, colonial-era architecture, lakes, waterfalls and botanical gardens. Popular days out include Gregory Lake, Hakgala Botanical Garden, tea-estate visits and an early-morning trip to Horton Plains.
March to May and August to September are typically the driest and most popular months to visit, though the cool climate makes it a year-round destination.
